Cookies
The site uses a small number of first-party cookies. Essential cookies keep sign-in and preferences working; optional cookies help improve the wiki when you choose to allow them.

What optional cookies help us understand
If you allow optional cookies, they provide broad site statistics useful for improving the wiki: scroll completion, engaged-time thresholds, citation/source openings, related-reading routes, TOC use, search success/zero results, consent-only entry and best-effort exit signals, coarse page-type transitions (for example home → search or search → article), broad device class, selected interface component clicks, coarse friction signals, and performance histograms.
Administration, editor, authentication, legal/privacy, API and service paths are excluded from this behavioral layer. It does not record exact search phrases, exact pointer coordinates, page text selections, keystrokes, form-field values, passwords, raw IP addresses, advertising identifiers, cross-site browsing, or replay videos.
Why there is no full-screen cookie wall
The choice control is intentionally non-blocking. You can read the encyclopedia whether you allow optional cookies or not, and changing your mind is available from the footer and this page.
Third-party scripts
Public reading pages do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, third-party font scripts, or other advertising/behavior trackers. Cloudflare Turnstile can be loaded on security-sensitive forms when configured. Article images in this release are served locally; source-credit links may still lead to external sites when you choose to open them.
